Here is a chance where you can get to know a little bit of the people we call the Arcaders!
Randy - Administrator, Editor, Reviewer (Theatrical/DVDs), Occasional Editorialist, News Writer
Hi, my name is Randy. I write for 2 film sites: WikPik, and here at FilmArcade.Net, where I am administrator and editor. I enjoy all film. I will watch almost any movie, and my genres range from comedies to dramas... musicals to romances... chick flicks to horror. Put a movie in front of me, chances are I'll watch it. Plus, if I like it (or HATE IT!) enough, I will review it. I will review screening copies of films, so independent filmmakers, feel free to hit me up. I enjoy movies for so many reasons: the excitement, the movie-going experience, the music, the fun of it all. Also, writing is a hobby (and a talent) of mine, and so reviewing is a great and fun thing for me to do in my spare time. Review requests are always welcome. If you would like to request a film for me to review, or have any questions or comments, drop me a line at Randy@FilmArcade.net (Checked daily) and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
As for my job here on FilmArcade, I review movies. Simple enough. Most of the time I will be reviewing DVD-released films, usually past or present favorites of mine. I try to review at least two DVD-released films a month, as well as one theatrical release. I also write occasional articles and editorials, and help Tony post the film-related news we gather from around the Worldwide Web. I also make the banners here on FilmArcade.Net, including the one that you see on our page now. I also am an administrator to the site. I help run the site, keep it up to date, and help Tony with other technical stuff when he needs me. If you would like to contact me for administrative purposes, you can reach me at Randy@FilmArcade.net. I am also the editor of the site. I edit all incoming content. I ask that if you have an editing question or comment, please contact me personally via email at the above-named email address, rather than comment to the writer.
Anthony T - Co-Admin, Reviewer (Theatrical/DVDs), Editorialist, Chamber Keeper
Hi, I'm the resident horror/independent film reviewer on the site. I write a weekly column here called Reviews From the Horror Chamber, where I review theatrical and independent horror films. Soon, I'll be starting a biweekly independent film column to review films that have been either in the festival and underground film scene. I'm also the director of the Myspace Film Community, where I post independent film news and review films. You can find that site at www.myspace.com/filmindex. The major reason that I'm a film fan is the fact that I like watching films that entertain, provide a nice escape for two hours. You can contact me at AnthonyThurber@FilmArcade.net.
Kelsey Zukowski - Reviewer (Theatrical/DVDs)
I'm a film critic and aspiring screenwriter. I write horror screenplays mostly. Aside from FilmArcade.net, I write for HorrorYearbook.com, 2Snaps.tv, Wikpik.com, and TCW Film Reviews on Blogger.com. I love film because there are virtually no limitations. It is a medium where anything is possible. Film can also reach so many different people and bring them together. For the filmmakers themselves it enables them to create their vision of how they perceive an aspect of the world, letting a little piece of them live on. When filmmaking is done right it can alter the way you think or make you realize something that you might have never realized otherwise. It can take you away from your own world and broaden your horizons or just let you enjoy the simple things in life. You can contact me here at kelsey@filmarcade.net.
Spaldy - Reviewer (Theatrical)
Hello! I'm Spaldy. I'm a native Floridian trapped in the near rainless and God forsaken Los Angeles area. As an awkward child (and really, who isn't?), I found that I felt the most comfortable and at peace in a movie theatre. When my family got HBO in the late 1970's, repeated viewings of "Empire of the Ants" only made that love of all cinema grow. A fan of logic puzzles, I love dissecting bad movies and seeing where it all went horribly wrong. I currently write reviews for Film Arcade, MySpace (my own, www.myspace.com/spaldini) and Spaldini (http://home.mindspring.com/~spaldini/). I can also be found cursing in front of my television nightly. If you'd like to say ahoy-hoy, you can reach me at: spaldy@filmarcade.net.
JD - Reviewer (Theatrical)
I like to watch movies, read a lot, and like to get lost a lot. I co-host a radio show with friends Jamey and Chris called Movie Geeks United (www.blogtalkradio.com/moviegeeksunited). You can reach me at jmdennis6@comcast.net or Jerry@FilmArcade.net.
Fred [The Wolf] - Reviewer (Theatrical/DVDs)
I'm Fred, but many call me by The Wolf. I'm a 27 year old New Yorker who is majoring in Film and aspires to be a screenwriter. I've been reviewing films since late 2006 as a way to express my thoughts about films and create discussions that I've never really had while growing up. I love films because it's an escape from reality. I love watching the lives of characters on film and relating to them, seeing myself in them. The less I can relate to a film, the more I'm gonna be totally negative of it. In my reviews, I post a list of things I've learned from watching the film. They're totally sarcastic in nature and not to be taken seriously at all. The world needs more humor and I like to think I provide it every time I review a film, both good and bad. My favorite films are "Halloween" (1978)," A Clockwork Orange," "Sin City," "Spider-Man 2," "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre," "Airplane!," and guilty pleasures like "Mommie Dearest" and "Elvira, Mistress of the Dark." I'm more of a horror genre guy, but I'll watch and review anything. I also write for FilmFanatix.com, Fatally-Yours.com, Wikpik.com, MySpace.com/FilmFerox, and BargainBinReview.com. If anyone has requests for reviews, they can email me at Howlingwolf00@aol.com or fyoung0281@gmail.com.
