The powers at Fox tried to take "Watchmen" from its fans and Warner Bros., but Warner Bros. said fuck you.

Today, Warner Bros. and Fox came to an agreement on the release of "Watchmen." If you haven't been following the story, long story short, Warner Bros. made the movie without checking on the rights of the graphic novel written by Alan Moore, and Fox tried to claim what was their's and stop the release of the movie. On Christmas Eve, the judge said Fox owned the rights and should control the distribution. According to IESB, Warner Bros. now controls the distribution.

Little details are known about the deal, but one of the details were that Warner Bros. paid a shitload of money, and it includes a percentage of the box office gross the film makes in its release. This adds to the 130 million that WB used to make the film. So say if WB paid Fox at least 20 million, they are now out of 150 million that they are hoping the film makes back.

At last, a peaceful ending is put out to this case. Now I can sleep with a smile on my face, and get dressed finally for the midnight showing on opening night.

It's good to hear that the movie will indeed be coming out in March. Warner Brothers shouldn't have to pay 20th Century Fox a dime. They were not interested in the movie the way Warner Brothers was.
