The 6'5 actor was first noticed in the 1998 film "Armageddon", which stared Bruce Willis. Clarke credits Willis for his breakout performance in "The Green Mile", as Willis recommended him to the film's director Frank Darabount. This would lead him to his only Oscar nomination in Clarke's career. He would go on later to co-star with Bruce Willis in "Breakfast of Champpions", "The Whole Nine Yards" and "Sin City".
He would also appear in such films as Daredevil, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Schools for Scoundrels and more recently "Green Lantern" as the voice of Kilowog and the upcoming indie drama "The Challenger".
He leave behind his fiancée and his sister.
