Ron Morales' Graceland has been hailed as "mesmerizing" (Gabe Toro, Indiewire) while Twitch Film says Graceland is "twisted enough to keep even the most seasoned thriller aficionado second guessing up to the end."
Graceland thrusts viewers into the corrupt underbelly of the Philippines' capital, exposing a world of deceit, exploitation, and startling depravity. Written and directed by Ron Morales, a veteran of Michael Clayton and The Departed, this "vigorously breathless thriller" (Complex Magazine) depicts a desperate man's infinite moral compromises amidst a tale of kidnapping gone horribly wrong.
Graceland follows Marlon Villar, chauffeur of Filipino politician Manuel Chango, whose car is ambushed while he drives his and the politician's daughter home from school one afternoon. What results is a kidnapping gone horribly awry. Desperate to save his daughter at all costs, Marlon finds himself in a game of deceit and betrayal that causes him to compromise on everything he believes in.
